The Wesleyan Church is an evangelical Protestant denomination with worldwide outreach having missionary work in over 90 countries.

We offer the good news that faith in Jesus Christ makes possible a wonderful, personal relationship with God, a holy life empowered by the Holy Spirit for witness and service, and assurance of eternal life in Heaven.

Our name is in honour of John Wesley, the founder of Methodism, whose biblical emphasis is on a life of faith, discipline, and perfect love which we believe to be a true Christian example.

WESLEYANS …

1. Believe the Bible to be the inspired Word of God and the only infallible and authoritative Word of God.

2. Believe in one God, in three persons, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

3. Believe in the deity of Christ, His virgin birth, sinless life, atonement for all by His death on the Cross, His bodily resurrection, His giving of the Holy Spirit to the world, and His Second coming in visible form to the earth to rule and reign forever.

4. Believe in the Blessed Hope – The Rapture of the Church at Christ’s coming.

5. Believe the only means of being cleansed from sin is through repentance received by faith in the precious blood of Christ, and sanctification after we have met God’s conditions of repentance and consecration.

6. Believe in the sanctifying power of the Holy Spirit enabling the Christian to live a Spirit-filled and Spirit-controlled life, evidenced by victory over known sin and the fruit of the Spirit, especially divine love (Gal. 5:22-23)

7. Believe that continuing in the state of salvation depends upon continued obedience and faith in Jesus Christ

8. Believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost, one to everlasting life and the other to everlasting damnation.

9. Believe in Water Baptism by immersion for the believers according to
Matthew 28:19.

10. Believe in the observance of the Lord’s Supper in remembrance of the death of our Lord as outlined in I Corinthians 11:23-32.

The purpose of our church is to share Jesus Christ through worship, witness, a godly life, and loving, compassionate deeds.
